On the run from her criminal Italian husband, a young French woman meets a German lover in West Berlin who offers her shelter but who also gets entangled in her threatened life ever deeper.

Chlodwig Pullmann is a tax inspector and is involved in a thousand little deals and tricks - with the knowledge of Mayor Karsten Leimer, who has a lot more dirt on him. Pullmann's wife Jenny, on the other hand, fights against corruption in a citizens' initiative and is of course not allowed to know anything about her husband's deviations. When Pullmann gets a new superior who keeps a close eye on him, things get tight - and in order not to jeopardize his marriage, he decides to go straight. The only question is whether he will succeed.

As a junk dealer Anton is found dead, a case develops in which each of the Germingers is involved: the law-abiding Commissioner Franz Junior, his rebellious sister Anna, ex-policeman Franz Germinger senior and his wife Erika. Who could have wanted Anton? Commissioner Franz Germinger Junior first taps in the dark. His sister Anna is sometimes ahead of him in some situations, which may be because she likes to exceed her competencies. Even more annoying the junior but his father Franz Germinger senior, who can not refrain from finding.

The painter Edgar flees from Wittenberg to East Berlin. The rebel finds a shelter in a gazebo. On the loo, Edgar discovers a strange reading: "The Sorrows of Young Werther" by Goethe.

Anu (Baby Zeeba) and Chanti (Master Anand Vardhan) are childhood friends at Araku Valley. Anu is a daughter of a wealthy government official and Chanti is the son of a poor widow. Anu leaves Chanti at the age of 8 when her parents shift to Vizag. Later on Chanti loses his mother. Mohan Rao (Chandra Mohan) gets hold of Chanti renames him as Venu and adapts him. Anu (Reema Sen) and Venu (Uday Kiran) grows up at their respective places. Anu finishes her higher studies in Malaysia and returns. Venu does also single-mindedly waits for Anu. Anu starts writing a serial named 'Manasanta Nuvve', which contains her live story, in Swaty magazine hoping that Chanti would read it comes back to her. But she keeps her pen name as Renu, so that her anonymity could be protected (in the serial the heroine's name is Anu and hero's name is Chanti).
